How do cumulative updates work in Making Tax Digital?

The Q2 submission covers 6 April to 5 October - not just July to October. The overview tab maintains running totals from 6 April so you do not need to separate records by quarter. Creating Your Account

Creating a suiteSheets account is designed to be straightforward.

You’ll simply use your email address to create your account and choose a password. Once that’s done, you’ll have access to your suiteSheets dashboard where you’ll manage your submissions.

No complicated setup required.

Connecting to HMRC

To submit your figures to HMRC, you’ll need to connect your suiteSheets account to your HMRC Gateway account.

This is done securely using your National Insurance number and HMRC login details.

Once connected, your business obligations will appear automatically on your suiteSheets dashboard, so you can see what needs to be submitted and when.

Submitting your spreadsheet

When you’re ready to submit your figures, the process is refreshingly simple - just upload your spreadsheet to your suiteSheets account. Our system reads the totals directly from your Overview sheet, displays them clearly on screen, and asks you to confirm that everything looks correct. Once you’re happy, you can submit the figures straight to HMRC.
